Contextualizing content is the most integral step in actioning content—explaining why large libraries of content don’t get accessed as regularly as you’d like. Push content to the user instead of expecting them to go searching for it. Give them the right answers at the right moment to reduce friction in your buyer’s journey.

Signals are what link your content cards to the notes feature and make the right cards appear in Dooly. They’re an important way to ensure the content gets seen!

Dooly picks up signals from:

  • Key words or key phrases written in Dooly notes.

There are three types of signals associated with each content card:

Keyword Signals

A Keyword signal is the word triggered by the text in note or the call recording. In choosing signals, pick words that relate to the content in question.

For example: for a card on pricing, choose signals like: “price” “cost” “expensive” “how much” “pricing” “discount”. This will cover the different ways this particular topic may arise in a conversation.

Stage Signals

Stage signals give you control over when cards show up for your team, linked to specific opportunity stages in Salesforce.

When creating cards, you can manually add stage signals, or once the card is created, you can drag and drop the card into a stage column in the cards view.

If you want cards to show up for customer success as well, then do not apply a stage signal.

Role Signals

Adding a role signal allows you to control who the cards will show up for, based on the users Salesforce Role. You are able to view which users fall under each of these roles from your members page.

Similar to stage signals these signals are optional, and can be added manually from the drop down list within the card during or after creation. You can select more than one role, and roles can be removed at any time.

Category Tags

File content under category tags such as “Sales,” “Marketing,” “Coaching,” “Pricing” and more. Make it easier to curate and manage content.

Unlike signals, tags do not get triggered by text in note or in the live call recording. They live solely in the library to assist in filing content cards and make identification simpler through color codes.
