🪐 What is AccountSpace? 🚀

AccountSpace is a holistic and customizable view of your team’s accounts making it easy to scan across account hierarchies, identify risk and opportunities in key accounts, and align on strategic plans to drive expansion.

How to access AccountSpace?

  1. To access AccountSpace, begin with an Account Pipeline view in Dooly

  2. Apply the filters you need to create the list of Accounts you want to include in your review.

  3. Click on the “Present” button and away you go!

💡Tip: Want to look at a single AccountSpace while in a Pipeline view? Click on the name of the Account and you will be taken to the space for that Account in one click!

What is in my AccountSpace?

The Control Panel allows you to navigate through the slides of your Accounts.

  • Use the arrow buttons to go forward or backward through slides

  • The Task List Icon to open the tasks drawer

  • The Briefcase Icon 💼 to access Manager Notes

    • (Only accessible by Sales Managers)

  • The Speech bubble icon 💬 to view Comments on the Account

  • The Paper Icon 📄 to access the note feed for that Account

  • The Cloud Icon ☁️ to View in Salesforce

  • The view title drop down ▾ to select and manage your AccountSpace Views

    • A people icon will appear if your view has been shared with others

  • The tile Icon to add cards

  • Exit the presentation.

Account Hierarchy Navigation - parent-child relationships displayed in a drop down list (where applicable) allowing you to transition seamlessly vertically into related accounts.

Main Metrics are the header in your AccountSpace and contain metrics that help you orient to the Account at a glance.

  • This information is pulled from the Account record and cannot be edited from the main metric header in AccountSpace.

  • Main metrics are configurable. To select which metrics appear, click on + Add Metrics to select up to 6.

Cards in an AccountSpace view are like tiles or widgets. They each contain a set of information, some that come with standard formatting and some that can be edited, adjusted and customized.

1️⃣ Dooly created Cards:

  • Salesforce Fields - Add Account Salesforce fieldsets you've already created or create a new fieldset straight from the card. As long as the field is editable, you can make field updates straight from your AccountSpace!

  • Contacts - All Contact records related to that Account and its hierarchy (all child accounts of the parent account) are linked here and can be filtered by Contact fields such as Account or Title

  • Opportunities - All Opportunity records related to that Account are linked here and can be filtered by Opportunity fields such as Close Date, Opportunity Type, Owner or Stage

  • Child Accounts - Another place to view and transition across account hierarchy, child accounts are listed and can be filtered by Account Name or Owner. If you are on a child account or if your org does not utilize hierarchies, this card will be blank.

2️⃣ Additional Card Options:

  • Custom Cards - A place to create lists, add fields not linked to Salesforce, or jot down notes. You get to decide what a Custom Card is!

    • Risks and Roadblocks will be added to your first AccountSpace view by default as an example of a Custom Card

    • Custom cards are shared across AccountSpace and DealSpace. Meaning if you create a card for one Space, it will be listed as a card option for both.

    • Content added to cards in DealSpace will not roll over to cards added in AccountSpace (and vice versa), but the title and any templates created on cards will be visible when added to your view.

  • Notes - See the note history of the record you are currently viewing. You can toggle on "Show related notes" to also display notes from related records in the card.

How to create an AccountSpace view:

  1. To create a new AccountSpace view, just click on the View drop down within the Control Panel when in Present mode.

  2. Click on Create New View

    Note: Dooly has created a default view for everyone, you can choose to edit this view or create a new view.

  3. From here you can also delete, rename, share or duplicate the view.

How to add a card in AccountSpace?

  • To add Cards to your AccountSpace view, click on the Add Card icon in the Control Panel to open the Cards Library.

  • Select the Card type from the list of options. Card options will include Cards created by Dooly, and Custom Cards created by you or others on your team.

How do I share an AccountSpace View I’ve created?

  1. To share an AccountSpace view you’ve created, click on the View drop down from the Presentation Control Panel.

  2. Select more options next to the Space you would like to share by clicking the … icon next to the name of the view.

  3. From here you can select who you want to share the Space view with - individuals or the entire organization - and then select their level of access.

How to use card filters in AccountSpace?

Filters are available on the Child Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities cards in AccountSpace.

  • To apply filters, click on the filters button at the top of the card.

  • Select from the available list of filter options.

    • In AccountSpace, filter options are limited to the information displayed on the card you are filtering.

    • Example: Child Account card filtering options are limited to Account Name and Owner as that is the information the card displays

  • Once you have completed selecting your filters, press save.

  • The filters will be applied to any Account you view using that AccountSpace view.

  • Users that you have shared editing access of your view with will have the ability to modify and save your filter settings. View only access cannot save filter modifications.

How can I edit which fields are displayed on my cards?

You are able to select up to 6 corresponding record fields to display on your Child Accounts, Opportunities, and Contacts cards in AccountSpace.

To edit the fields you'd like displayed:

  • click on the ... options menu on the top right hand side of each card

  • click on the Configure fields option

  • select up to 6 fields to display on your card

What happens to card content when I merge Accounts in Salesforce?

Occasionally, you may need to merge one account into another. In Dooly, we periodically check for account merged and move all AccountSpace related data like custom cards, manager notes, and comments over to the new account.
